Tim himself was conceived in South Africa, born in Cheshire, and by the time he was six months old the family had moved to Hong Kong. Tim’s parents met in Malta during World War II and were married in Egypt, where their first child, Judith, was born. His early life prepared him for the life of a travelling actor. Timothy James Curry was born on the 19th of April 1946 to Jim Curry, a Methodist Naval Chaplain and his wife Maura ‘Pat’ Curry.
